Kendrick Nunn named 2024–25 EuroLeague MVP

Kendrick Nunn has been named the 2024–25 EuroLeague Most Valuable Player, capping off a remarkable campaign with Panathinaikos.

The American guard led the competition in scoring with 21.1 points per game while guiding the Greens to a 22–12 regular season record and the third seed entering the playoffs.

Nunn topped the MVP voting, which included ballots from EuroLeague team captains and head coaches (70% of total vote), accredited journalists (20%), and fans (10%).

Sasha Vezenkov of Olympiacos finished second in the voting, with Paris Basketball’s TJ Shorts placing third.

The 28-year-old also earned the Alphonso Ford Top Scorer Trophy and led the league in made three-pointers, averaging 3.1 triples per contest.

He added 4.1 assists and 1.0 steal per game while appearing in 33 of 34 regular-season games.

Nunn elevated his play following the midseason injury to teammate Mathias Lessort, raising his averages to 21.9 points and 5.1 assists per game from Round 18 onward.

He produced four 30-point performances, including a career-high 39-point outburst against EA7 Emporio Armani Milan in Round 16.

The Chicago native was named MVP of the Round three times and earned EuroLeague MVP of the Month honors for February.

He shot over 45% from the field and displayed a consistent ability to break down defenders and create offense in isolation and transition.

His offensive impact helped Panathinaikos secure home-court advantage in the playoffs and finish with the league’s third-highest scoring output at 2,990 points.

Nunn became the first Panathinaikos player to win the MVP since Dimitris Diamantidis in 2010–11.

He is also the third American to claim the honor, joining Mike James (2023–24) and Anthony Parker (2004–06).

This is Nunn’s second season in the EuroLeague after joining Panathinaikos in 2023 following three years in the NBA.

He was also named to the All-EuroLeague First Team for the second consecutive season.

Panathinaikos will begin their playoff series with home-court advantage after finishing one win behind Olympiacos and Fenerbahce in the final standings.
