England legend feels for Foden

Former England midfielder and manager Glenn Hoddle has spoken about his thoughts on Phil Foden with Betfair:

“This kid has abilitiy and I have sympathy for him.”

“We’re seeing it with Jamal Musiala for Germany, and the two kids for Spain, Pedri and Gavi.

“Foden is way ahead of them, but he’s not playing and isn’t being given the opportunity like they are.”

“The way Spain are using their young talents is what we should be doing with Foden. They play them, they know how good they’re going to be in the future.

“They’re 20 and 18, but Foden was at their level when he was 17. He should have had 50 caps by now.”

It’s a crying shame, because I feel like he’s a special player. He’s a cut above Grealish, Mount and Maddison
