THE floodlights went off in the very first minute of Wolves’ FA Cup replay with Liverpool.
The pitch was plunged into darkness as Wolves attacked, leaving fans watching on BBC confused about events.
The lights came back on a few seconds later, with players and pundits at Molineux left bemused.
It came just after fans were left stunned as an odd noise, likened to a porn film, played out in the BBC studio.
Gary Lineker was left gobsmacked and fans could not believe what was happening at Molineux.
One said: “Lights out and sex sounds, this night certainly started way more exciting than most Liverpool games in the recent past.”
Another said: “Porn noises, now the lights have gone out… Absolute shambles.”
One added: “Porn going off in studio and flood lights going what’s happening.”
Another said: “What a bizarre last half hour this has been.
“Constant porn noises in the BBC studio, the lights going out at the start of the game, and now Liverpool opening the scoring.”
Play soon resumed and Liverpool’s Harvey Elliot gave Jurgen Klopp’s side the lead on 13 minutes.
The midfielder broke through Wolves’ defence and then lobbed keeper Jose Sa with a looping left-footed strike.
It is the 19-year-old’s third goal of the season after 29 appearances in all competitions.
