The Philadelphia 76ers and Washington Wizards released extensive injury reports ahead of Tuesday night’s meeting at Xfinity Mobile Arena.
Philadelphia enters the game at 10–9 and is dealing with significant frontcourt uncertainty. Joel Embiid remains sidelined with right knee injury recovery, marking another missed game during his return progression. Andre Drummond is listed as questionable because of a right knee contusion, leaving the 76ers potentially without both of their primary centers.
Paul George is questionable due to left knee injury recovery and lower-back tightness. The veteran forward has appeared in only five games this season and is averaging 14.0 points while shooting .414 from the field. Quentin Grimes also carries a questionable designation because of right calf soreness after logging 33.1 minutes per outing.
Trendon Watford remains out with a left adductor strain, while Kelly Oubre Jr. continues to recover from a left knee sprain. Jared McCain, cleared as available, will play through right-thumb surgery recovery while still wearing a splint.
Washington, sitting at 3–16, will once again be without several rotation players. Alex Sarr is out because of a right adductor strain after averaging 19.1 points and 8.6 rebounds through 16 games. Corey Kispert remains sidelined with a right-thumb fracture, removing one of the team’s most efficient perimeter shooters.
Khris Middleton will miss the contest due to right-knee injury management. Tre Johnson is out with a left hip flexor strain, while Sharife Cooper remains unavailable with a right calf strain. Jamir Watkins and AJ Johnson are also unavailable, with both assignments tied to G League participation.
Kyshawn George, who is posting 15.4 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game as a full-time starter, is questionable because of a left big-toe contusion. His availability is critical for a Washington group that still ranks last in the Eastern Conference but is coming off a 129–126 win over Milwaukee on December 1.
Philadelphia is trying to halt a one-game slide after falling 142–134 in double overtime to Atlanta. Tyrese Maxey continues to drive the offense with 32.3 points and 7.6 assists per night.
The two teams last met on October 28, when the 76ers earned a 139–134 overtime victory.
Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 PM ET.
