BARCELONA welcome Napoli to the Nou Camp for the second leg of their Champions League knockout clash.

The tie is locked at 1-1 after a full-bloodied affair in Naples, which before Italy’s dramatic coronavirus lockdown and the subsequent suspension of football throughout Europe.

Dries Mertens had put the Italian side into the lead, but a second half strike from Antoine Griezmann has put Barca in control of the contest.

When was Barcelona vs Napoli meant to be played?

THE Catalan giants picked up a crucial away goal in the first leg of the last-16 encounter.

As such, they’re in pole position to reach the quarter finals for the 13th consecutive season.

Kick-off was set for 8pm on Wednesday, March 18 at the Nou Camp.

Is there a rearranged date?

CURRENTLY, there is no confirmed date for the tie to take place.

Quarter final matches are slated to begin on Tuesday, April 7 just days after domestic leagues are currently expected to get return.

But with the ever-evolving coronavirus situation, those date look almost certain to change.

Has the Champions League been cancelled?

EURO 2020 has been postponed until next summer – but Uefa’s domestic competitions remain ON.

The Euros change is mainly in a bid to get the domestic season completed, although even that may not be possible due to the unprecedented situation.

Currently the Champions League and Europa League are just on hold, NOT cancelled.
