The Golden State Warriors made roster changes Monday, signing guard LJ Cryer to a two-way contract and waiving forward Jackson Rowe, according to NBA insider Michael Scott. The moves aim to bolster the team’s backcourt depth amid an 11-10 start to the 2025-26 season.

Cryer, 24, went undrafted in the 2025 NBA Draft and joined the Warriors for Summer League play before signing an Exhibit 10 contract on June 27. He was waived in October and spent the start of the season with the Santa Cruz Warriors in the G League, where he averaged 24.3 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 6.1 assists over seven games while shooting 41.4% from three-point range.

Rowe, a two-way forward, is released after limited contributions in Golden State’s rotation. The move frees a roster spot for Cryer, who impressed with scoring and playmaking in the G League and offers potential floor spacing for the Warriors.

Golden State relies heavily on Stephen Curry and Jimmy Butler, who are averaging 27.9 and 20.2 points per game, respectively, while Draymond Green provides veteran versatility.

Cryer also brings NCAA experience, having played five seasons between Baylor and Houston, finishing his college career with 15.7 points per game at Houston in 2024–25.

The roster changes come as Golden State looks to stabilize after splitting its first 21 games, including a recent 104-96 win over the New Orleans Pelicans.
