The Brazilian superstar, 22, watched his side fall 2-0 down inside the opening quarter of an hour as goals from Darwin Nunez and Mo Salah handed the Reds an early advantage.
Vinicius got one back for the visitors, arrowing a superb effort into the far corner.
And he then levelled things up in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie, charging down Alisson and forcing an error as the ball deflected into the net.
Vinicius sprinted away and slid on his knees in celebration as his team-mates joined him.
It involves putting both hands together on your chest and looking up to the sky with your eyes closed.
Reacting on social media, one person said: “Turns up in big games just like his idol Ronaldo ?”.
Another added: “Of course that’s his idol, that says a lot about his character”.
And a third said: “The influence is unreal”.
