TOTTENHAM boss Mauricio Pochettino has been handed a huge boost as Dele Alli returned to training ahead of the North London derby.
Toothless Spurs were stunned 1-0 by Newcastle last weekend as they prepare to face their bitter rivals on Sunday.
And Alli’s return from injury will be a welcome sight for Pochettino, although he has vowed not to rush him back early.
The England midfielder has missed 25 games due to a series of hamstring issues.
And his manager is keen to avoid causing further problems by throwing him back into the firing line.
Speaking about the injuries, he said: “It’s the same area. Yes, of course, we are worried.
“He’s still so young. Just 23 years old and many, many hamstring problems in the last few years.”
Spurs have struggled to create chances, with Christian Eriksen benched for the Newcastle game.
The Dane is being targeted by Real Madrid and has admitted he wants a new challenge.
Meanwhile, Danny Mills has been blasted by Arsenal fans for including just two Gunners in a combined XI.
The former defender believes only Nicolas Pepe and Dani Ceballos deserve a spot in a side made from both teams’ squads.
