TOTTENHAM’S move for Dejan Kulusevski could cost as much as £43.4million, should certain conditions be met.

That’s a whopping FIVE TIMES the initial £8.4million they agreed to pay to secure his services last month.

The Swede joined the North Londoners from Juventus on Deadline Day on an initial 18-month loan deal.

And according to Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the loan will be made permanent for a further £35m next summer, should certain conditions be met.

He claims that if Kulusevski starts 15 or more Premier League games next term, and Tottenham finish in the top four, a £35m permanent deal will be triggered.

Alternatively, he adds that Spurs could choose to complete a deal for £29.6m this summer.

Kulusevski, 21, has been granted his full work permit and trained with his new team-mates yesterday.

He could make his Spurs debut against Brighton in the FA Cup this weekend.

On what he will bring to his new team, Kulusevski said: “I hope to bring energy to the team. I love playing football, it’s the best thing in the world, playing, attacking, defending, playing for each other.

“To win games, score goals, assists… I just want to do it all.

“That’s how I have been since I was five-years-old, playing football with my sister, with my family, with my friends.

“Football is everything I’ve had and I think it’s fun – the important thing is that you have fun when you play because if you have fun, you’re going to play much better. That’s an important thing that I hope I can bring here.

“I always want to go forward, I always want to score more goals. I’m not the type where if we are winning 2-0 or 3-0 I’m going to go back and defend the result – I want to play, enjoy, have fun and score goals.”

Spurs’ new starlet will hope to improve on his Juventus goal tally, having scored one goal in 20 Serie A appearances this term.

Kulusevski’s fellow new recruit Rodrigo Bentancur could also be in line to make his debut against the Seagulls.
