First, the Tottenham captain failed to deal two Wolves shots, parrying one out to Raul Jimenez to volley in from 12 yards out.

And the French stopper did not respond well, playing a sloppy pass under no pressure to Ben Davies who gave the ball away moments later.

Daniel Podence’s shot was then blocked by Davinson Sanchez only for the ball to hit Rodrigo Bentancur and strike the post.

And while Lloris was busy flailing in no man’s land, Leonardo Dendoncker smashed home the loose ball.

Spurs were reeling, and despite their best efforts, they were unable to mount a comeback as they slipped to another defeat on home turf.
