Spurs see it out… Just…

Well, they never make it easy, do Tottenham Hotspur.

They went 1-0 down early on, due to an Eric Dier mistake, that allowed Daichi Kamada to roll the ball past Hugo Lloris.

With credit to them, they were then 3-1 up at home within the first half, after a brilliant Son brace, and a Harry Kane penalty.

However, 3-1 up against 10-man Frankfurt and seemingly cruising to victory in the 86th minute, they somehow almost found the score level at full-time.

On the 87th minute, Alidou headed in from a corner for the visitors, and all of a sudden you had a feeling the game could turn.

Spurs looked to have it sealed when Bryan Gil won a penalty in the 90th minute, only for Harry Kane to shoot over the target from the spot, getting those out of the way before the World Cup.

Frankfurt then had one last chance in the 95th minute, but they were denied an equaliser by Hugo Lloris in between the sticks.
