The Detroit Pistons were severely short-handed on Tuesday night, missing six key players due to various injuries.

Ausar Thompson (right ankle), Tobias Harris (right ankle), Jaden Ivey (right knee), Isaiah Stewart (left ankle), Caris LeVert (left knee), and Marcus Sasser (right hip) were all unavailable for Detroit’s matchup.

Tobias Harris’ absence has been particularly lengthy, as the veteran forward has now missed five consecutive games while recovering from a high ankle sprain.

Head coach J.B. Bickerstaff provided an update on his progress, telling reporters, “It’s a high ankle sprain and he’s progressing. It’s just those things that take a little longer than you would like, but he’s progressing day to day. We’re hopeful he’ll be back soon.”

According to Hunter Patterson, both Harris and Thompson remain listed as out for Wednesday’s game against the Chicago Bulls, while Isaiah Stewart is considered doubtful.

The extended injury list has forced Detroit to lean heavily on its reserves and two-way players, with several bench contributors stepping up to fill the void in recent games.
