Magic standout forward Paolo Banchero has been sidelined since November 12 because of a left groin strain, and the team has already ruled him out for Monday’s matchup with the Bulls.
According to coach Jamahl Mosley, Banchero has yet to advance beyond the non-contact portion of his recovery, as reported by Jason Beede of the Orlando Sentinel.
Mosley explained that the team is taking a cautious, step-by-step approach, saying, “We just continue to see and monitor how he responds to each treatment each day.”
Banchero has played 4 seasons for the Magic. He has averaged 22.3 points, 7.1 rebounds and 4.6 assists in 210 regular-season games.
He was selected to play in 1 All-Star game, and has won the Rookie of the Year award.
ICYMI: Jalen Johnson‘s All-Star level season reached new heights on Sunday as the Hawks forward poured in a career-best 41 points against Philadelphia. That + more from the Southeast. https://t.co/dZhGdCpD3B
