• Popular side ticket attracts N2,000
• Egypt’s Elbana is centre referee
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has fixed the sum of N10,000 for each VIP ticket for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match between the Super Eagles and Djurtus (Wild Dogs) of Guinea Bissau. The match, which holds on Friday at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abuja, will see fans paying N2,000 for the popular side ticket.
The Super Eagles have six points from their previous two matches and are favoured to pick all six points (home and away) against Guinea Bissau to guarantee Nigeria’s qualification to the 2024 AFCON tournament in Cote d’Ivoire.
The tickets for Friday’s tie are at the secretariat of the NFF at Package B, MKO Abiola Stadium, Abuja, Old Parade Ground, NFF’s former office at Wuse Zone 7, and other designated places in Abuja.
There were 22 players in the Super Eagles’ John Wood Hotel, Abuja, including striker, Victor Osimhen, who had a stop over in Lagos. Portugal-based defender, Zaidu Sanusi, was still being expected yesterday.
Egyptian referee, Mahmoud Elbana, will be in the centre, with his compatriots Youssef Elbosaty, Sami Halhal and Ahmed El-Ghandour to function as assistant referee 1, assistant referee 2 and fourth official respectively.
Prosper Harrison Addo from Ghana will be the match commissioner and his compatriot Kotey Alexander will be the referee assessor.
