JUVENTUS are targeting a January switch for Manchester United target Nico Williams, according to reports.
The 20-year-old, who’s at the World Cup with Spain, is attracting attention following his fine start to the season with Athletic Bilbao.
Williams has registered three goals and four assists in 14 La Liga games to help his side emerge as shock top four contenders.
United signed Antony last summer, but missed out on top target Cody Gakpo.
And Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure means the Red Devils need firepower at the top end of the pitch.
But they now face competition for Williams’ services.
That’s because AS believe that Juventus have also joined the race for his signature.
The report however, claims that Bilbao are keen on tying him down to a new contract and want to begin discussions after the World Cup.
Williams’ current terms expire in the summer of 2024.
He’s said to have a release clause of €50m, which is around £43m.
Liverpool and Real Madrid are also interested in Williams, so United have a tough task on their hands, especially with Juve now coming to the party.
