Good morning Man United fans

Manchester United have put Kalvin Phillips top of a Three Lions shortlist as they hunt for new midfielder.

England team-mates Declan Rice and Jude Bellingham are also on the Red Devils’ radar.

But United believe Leeds ace Phillips, 26, is the most achievable of the trio and are poised to make a move.

He is due to hold talks over a new deal at Elland Road in the summer – but it is unlikely to happen earlier as he is in the process of changing agents.

And that gives their bitter rivals United a chance to make their move.

The Red Devils also hope to convince Marcus Rashford to stay — and reignite his career at Old Trafford.

Rashford, 24, has considered quitting United over the lack of faith interim boss Ralf Rangnick is showing in him.

But with a new boss on the way this summer —  Ajax’s Erik ten Hag is the preferred option — United have stressed that they still value Rashford despite his torrid season.

United also assured the forward — who has just five club goals this term —  that each candidate they have spoken to has told them, in no uncertain terms, that Rashford should not be allowed to leave.

Meanwhile, Man Utd are reportedly set to miss out on the signing of Ajax wonderkid Ryan Gravenberch.

The midfielder, 19, is claimed to have agreed personal terms to join German giants Bayern Munich.

All that’s left is for the two clubs to agree to a transfer fee, according to Bild.

Elsewhere, Bruno Lage has warned Manchester United they won’t sign Ruben Neves on the cheap this summer.

The Red Devils might have to DOUBLE Wolves’ previous transfer record of £41million, which Liverpool paid for Diogo Jota in September 2020, to get their man.

SunSport exclusively revealed potential new United boss Erik ten Hag plans to make signing the 25-year-old playmaker a priority this summer if he ends up in the Old Trafford hotseat.

Finally, Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo insists he is ‘so happy and motivated’ as he rallied against his critics amid rumours suggesting he is on his way out.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner claims he is buoyant after winning the Premier League’s goal-of-the-month award and United’s best-player gong.

Ronaldo said: “I feel so happy and motivated for the rest of the season.

“I will do my best, like all the time – so thank you to them (who voted for me) and see you soon at Old Trafford.”
