Good morning United fans,
Manchester United are into the Europa League Last-16 after coming from behind to beat Barcelona.
In one of the club’s best European nights in recent years, Fred and Antony scored second-half goals to give United victory over the Spanish giants.
Just like in the first-half they fell behind but Erik ten Hag’s men recovered and continued their bid for an unlikely quadruple.
Red Devils legend Paul Scholes said the win was important for the club.
He told BT Sport: “What a great night, absolutely brilliant.
“Big European nights like this are what makes United. We know Barcelona had a couple of big players out.
“But once United got that second goal I don’t think United were in trouble.”
United could face any of Real Betis, Fenerbahce, Ferencvaros, Feyenoord, Freiburg, Real Sociedad or Union Saint-Gilloise.
Meanwhile, Marcel Sabitzer has opened the door to a longer-term stay at Old Trafford.
The midfielder arrived on loan on deadline day from Bayern Munich but has impressed fans with his output so far.
Asked about his future, he said: “It’s a loan at the moment, that’s all I can say.
“I like it here. I’m feeling very good here. I like the team, I like the club, the atmosphere in Old Trafford.
“We will see what happens in the summer.”
