Nikola Jokic scored 35 points and grabbed 15 rebounds, while Jamal Murray added 23 points, leading the Denver Nuggets (8-2) to a 122-108 victory over the Sacramento Kings (3-8) on Tuesday night at Golden 1 Center. The win marked Denver’s fifth consecutive victory.
The Nuggets turned a one-point deficit after the first quarter into control by late in the second, eventually extending their lead to 101-86 in the fourth with a 16-2 run. Aaron Gordon contributed 17 points, and Bruce Brown added 14 off the bench to bolster Denver’s balanced attack.
Domantas Sabonis led the Kings with 19 points, eight rebounds, and four assists, while Drew Eubanks added 19 points and seven rebounds. DeMar DeRozan scored 18 and Russell Westbrook chipped in 14 for Sacramento, which dropped its third straight game.
Denver dominated the boards 48-35 and shot 51% from the field, maintaining consistent offensive efficiency throughout the game. Jokic’s 16-of-19 shooting performance and Murray’s 7-of-15 from the floor helped keep the Nuggets ahead after taking the lead.
Sacramento kept it competitive early but could not withstand Denver’s second-quarter surge and fourth-quarter scoring burst. The Kings struggled to match Denver’s pace and physicality, allowing key open looks and transition points.
With the win, the Nuggets remain atop the Western Conference standings and continue to demonstrate depth and scoring versatility. Sacramento, meanwhile, looks to regroup as they host Atlanta on Wednesday.
