The couple were all smiles as they posed for the snaps, Rakitic looking grateful for some downtime after an incredibly long campaign.
No player in Europe played more matches than the 71 competed in by the Croatian in the 2017-18 season.
Having helped Barcelona win a La Liga and Copa del Rey double, Rakitic went on to have a sensational World Cup with his national side.

After winning all three group games, the Blazers had a bruising route to the final with their three knockout matches against Denmark, Russia and England all going to extra-time, the first two settled by a penalty shoot-out.
Zlatko Dalic’s men were ultimately downed by France due to a Mandzukic own goal, followed by strikes from Antoine Griezmann, Paul Pogba and Kylian Mbappe. Ivan Perisic and Mandzukic scored Croatia’s replies.
Despite falling just short, Rakitic and Co were welcome home as heroes after achieving their best-ever finish at a World Cup, eclipsing the third-placed finish in 1998.
