Heat seek pick and rotation players for Andrew Wiggins

According to Brett Siegel, if the Miami Heat decide to move shooting guard Andrew Wiggins at any point this season, their asking price is clear.

Miami would want a first-round pick along with “a player or two who could step into their rotation and be a positive contributor.”

That combination of draft capital and ready-to-play talent reflects the value the organization still sees in Wiggins despite his uneven production in recent seasons.

Siegel notes that Wiggins has drawn interest before. The Lakers were tied to him during the offseason, exploring the possibility of bringing him in as a wing upgrade, and the Bucks also reached out with their own inquiry.

However, Siegel adds that Miami “hasn’t had any serious trade talks” involving the veteran forward recently, indicating that while teams have checked in, nothing close to a real negotiation has taken shape.

Wiggins has played 12 seasons for the Warriors, Timberwolves and Heat. He has averaged 18.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 782 regular-season games.

He was selected to play in 1 All-Star game. He has won the Rookie of the Year award and 1 NBA championship.
