ERLING HAALAND’S dad was escorted from his VIP box at the Bernabeu last night.

That’s after reportedly “insulting and throwing food at Real Madrid fans.”

But Haaland Sr insists this was not the case, claiming Real fans became irate after his goal celebrations.

The father of Man City’s star striker made the trip to Spain’s capital for last night’s Champions League thriller.

Wonder strikes from Vinicius Jr and Kevin de Bruyne saw the two sides play out an epic 1-1 draw in the first leg of their semi-final showdown.

Things certainly became spicy on the pitch, with five yellow cards dished out — including one for Real boss Carlo Ancelotti.

But it also kicked off up in the gods as Haaland’s dad reportedly clashed with Real fans while watching the game from his box.

Video footage showed ex-City star Alf-Inge, or Alfie, waving at Real fans below him while cupping his ears.

Security then arrived to escort Haaland’s father out of the box, with surrounding Real supporters chanting “adios” from their seats.

Screens behind Alf-Inge showed the game was still being played when he was booted out.

And Spanish journalist Inaki Angulo claims Haaland’s dad was shown the door for allegedly “throwing food and insulting Real fans” during the match.

He tweeted: “They pass me this about Haaland’s father expelled from a box at the Bernabeu after having been insulted and throwing food at the people of Madrid.”

Alf-Inge took to Twitter on Wednesday claiming he was moved on by security merely for celebrating City’s equaliser.

He tweeted: “Ok. RM was not happy we were celebrating KDB goal. Other than than that we had to move because RM fans not happy with 1-1.”

In response to allegations of “throwing food”, he later said: “Ok. I did not. Not true.We had some good banter with Madrid fans. They were not happy when City scored. Typical. Then we had to move 50 meters away. Nothing more. All happy. Well nearly…”

It was a quiet night on the pitch for son Haaland, who has 51 goals in all competitions this term.

He has already broken the record for most strikes in a Premier League campaign with 35.

And Alf-Inge revealed on Monday his son is loving life under Pep Guardiola.

He said: “I am very proud.

“It’s great to see. He has always loved the Premier League and it’s been a dream of his for a long time.

“He had a great time in Germany also but obviously it’s very special to play in England.

“It’s a privilege for the players to play for a great club in the Premier League. They should be happy.

“It might be for just a short time of your life and if you can’t enjoy playing on this stage then something’s wrong with you.

“I enjoy when he smiles and when he celebrates the goals of his team-mates, it’s great to see.

“We dreamt of it [breaking records]. Maybe we didn’t think it was possible but it was a dream and when you play for a very good team.

“That’s the reason we came here but we didn’t expect it to happen that fast.”
