Farrell goes down again and gets some strapping on his head. More fun stuff from England in attack. Owen Farrell attacks the line with Max Malins for company, Saracen to Saracen and the latter half through a hole. Ollie Chessum shows prominently and effectively once more, but Farrell and Marcus Smith end up both tied up in a ruck, and the hosts attack somewhat loses momentum. Smith tries to re-gather it with a trademark shimmy and skip to the outside, but is driven into touch.

A fascinating England change: Ben Earl on in Alex Dombrandt’s place. They’ll lose a fair bit of height and muscle, but boy is Ludlam, Curry, Earl a dynamic trio.

It’s a mightily intriguing little game, this. Scotland are finding ways to score every time they have the ball in the England 22, which is nullifying the territorial advantage that the hosts continue to enjoy.

An opportunistic score from the Scottish scrum half! England largely handle the Scottish carriers but get themselves in a muddle when the ball bobbles inadvertendly away from a ruck. Ben Curry is torn between going for the ball and tackling Ben White, and ends up doing neither, allowing White to shed him rather easily, step by Freddie Steward and cross for the score.

Finn Russell’s conversion brings the gap back down to a single point.
