Dubai Basketball announced the signing of 27-year-old swingman Matt Ryan on a deal through the end of the 2025-26 season.

The American guard-forward joins the team as Dubai looks to improve its performance in the EuroLeague, where it currently sits 15th with a 4-6 record.

Ryan has NBA and G League experience, appearing in 82 NBA games with stints at Boston, Los Angeles, Minnesota, New Orleans, and New York. He averaged 1.5 points per game last season for the Knicks while producing 15.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.5 assists across two games with the Westchester Knicks in the G League.

Ryan’s arrival comes as Dubai seeks additional scoring and versatility on the wing. The team has struggled to maintain consistency in the league, scoring 854 points while allowing 864 through the first ten games, resulting in a -10 point differential.

The team has several key contributors, including Filip Petrusev (15.2 PPG), Dwayne Bacon (16.2 PPG), and Mfiondu Kabengele (13.9 PPG), but consistency has been an issue.
