Jockey Rachael Blackmore pays tribute to Jack de Bromhead after Cheltenham victory
The Cheltenham Festival concludes on Friday after what has been a thrilling week of racing but it’s now time for the Gold Cup.
It was all about Rachael Blackmore 12 months ago on A Plus Tard and the Irishwoman has given an update on the horse ahead of its bid to defend the title.
There’s time for one more packed race card including seven exciting races to showcase the finest in the sport in the Cotswolds, including the highly-anticipated Gold Cup.
The Irish trainers continue to shine and will hope to triumph once again after landing the Prestbury Cup 12 months ago with a mighty 18 wins compared to just 10 for British-trained horses.

Faivoir trainer Dan Skelton on his sister-in-law winning the County Hurdle:
“That was brilliant from Bridge. It was a great bit of riding. She doesn’t get as many rides on the big stage because Harry takes precedence but she is more than capable.
“I thought Faivoir would win a big handicap this year.”

Bridget Andrews wins with Faivoir
Jockey Bridget Andrews rode a fantastic race and earns a win for Dan Skelton. It is the second time she has won this race and superbly held off Davy Russell and Pied Piper.

FAIVOIR WINS THE COUNTY HURDLE
A late move from Faivoir sees him push towards the front as they head over the last. Pied Piper is right up there with him and both horses sprint neck and neck towards the line.
There’s nothing to separate them but Faivoir manages to get his nose in front!

Into the last two jumps and the leading duo continue to go clear but the chasing pack are closing the gap. Highway One O Two is now out in front on his own but Ballyadam is making a charge.
