Spain and Barcelona midfielder Aitana Bonmati has broken her leg while training with the national team.
The 27-year-old suffered the injury as Spain prepared for the second leg of their Women’s Nations League final against Germany – which takes place tomorrow.
Bonmati is the current holder of the women’s Ballon d’Or trophy and has won the award – given to the world’s best player – for the last three years.
