Kendrick Nunn could soon face one of the biggest decisions of his post-NBA career.

According to SDNA, Qatar has presented the Panathinaikos star with a five-year offer worth €10 million to represent the country’s national team in international competitions leading up to and including the 2027 FIBA World Cup. The report stated that Nunn is seriously considering the proposal but has not yet made a final decision.

The timing is significant for Qatar, which will host the 2027 FIBA World Cup in August and September of that year. The tournament will mark the country’s first appearance in a FIBA World Cup, creating a strong incentive to strengthen its roster through a naturalized player.

SDNA reported that Qatari officials targeted Nunn after an extended search for a player capable of elevating the national team on the international stage. The reported package would compensate the American guard for appearing in Qatar’s national team games over the next several years.

Nunn has established himself as one of the most productive players in European basketball since joining Panathinaikos. During the 2025-26 EuroLeague season, he averaged 18.9 points, 3.7 assists and 2.7 rebounds while shooting 50.5% from the field, 38.4% from three-point range and 90.1% from the free-throw line across 31 games.

Those numbers made him the leading scorer on a Panathinaikos team that finished seventh in the EuroLeague regular-season standings with a 22-16 record. The Greek club advanced through the play-in stage before falling to Valencia in a five-game playoff series.
