Munster captain Tadhg Beirne and Harlequins back-row Aoife Wafer were both honoured at the Guinness Irish Rugby Writers Awards last night.
Wafter was named women’s Player of the Year for the second successive season on the back of being the Six Nations Player of the Championship.
While Lions forward Beirne picked up his first award as men’s Player of the Year.
