LeBron James is scheduled to practice with the G League’s South Bay Lakers later this week as he continues to work his way back from a lingering sciatica issue.

During Monday’s broadcast, JJ Redick mentioned that James was “literally practicing with South Bay today,” though it was later clarified that the four-time MVP had not yet joined the G League affiliate but is expected to do so in the coming days.

The practice sessions are intended to help James ease back into basketball activities in a controlled environment.

James has not practiced with the main Lakers squad at all this season due to the sciatica problem that flared up shortly before training camp began.

The condition has kept him sidelined for several weeks, and the team has not provided an official timetable for his return to game action.

He will not accompany the Lakers on their current five-game road trip, focusing instead on rehabilitation and conditioning in Los Angeles.

The team’s next home game is scheduled for November 18 against the Utah Jazz, which could serve as a potential target date for further evaluation – though his availability remains uncertain.
