It’s now three medals and counting for Irish boxers at the European Elite Women’s Championships.

Amy Broadhurst is the most recent to secure a bronze, with the Dundalk native beating Serbia’s Milena Matovic in their light-welterweight quarter-final.

Earlier today, Michaela Walsh and Shannon Sweeney booked semi-final spots with wins in their respective flyweight and 48-k-g quarter-finals.

Still to come, Christina Desmond takes on Sweden’s Hanna Ingrid Hede in the quarter-finals of the light-middleweight class.

But Carly McNaul lost her light flyweight quarter-final to Italy’s Olena Savchuk by split decision.
